Matthew is a registered clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in a broad range of fields. Matthew holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) from the University of Oxford, England.  He is highly experienced in treating adults, adolescents and children with high prevalence disorders and commonly assists people with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, bereavement, trauma, behavioural and parenting concerns, lifestyle change, addictions, unexplained somatic disorders and relationship issues. Matthew’s interest in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) first developed due to its demonstrated effectiveness in helping couples. The EFT approach really connected with Matthew and he has since focused on this as an area of special interest for him. Matthew is a warm, sensitive practitioner who takes an empathic and evidence-based approach to helping people deal with life’s challenges. He believes that all people can find emotional health, healing and hope in their lives, and assists people to achieve this by taking a non-judgmental, sensitive and collaborative approach.
