Robin is passionate about helping couples achieve a secure bond, providing a non-judgemental, safe and supportive environment and works through an attachment lens to help people better understand their needs for connection. Recent client comments include “We feel cared for, we don’t feel like just a job to Robin”.
Psychotherapy offers longer term therapy for lasting personal growth, focusing on core issues and root causes such as how past events affect chronic emotional problems and thought processes leading to distress, both within the individual and between partners or others.
TCK’s have been described by Pollock & Van Reken (2009) in their book ‘Third Culture Kids: Growing Up Among Worlds’ as:
“A person who has spent a significant part of his or her developmental years outside the parents’ culture. The TCK frequently builds relationships to all of the cultures, while not having full ownership in any. Although elements of each culture may be assimilated into the TCK’s life experience, the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of similar background.”
